Getting support
Who can make a referral?
Individuals, family members, legal guardians, service coordinators, case managers and provider or agency staff can all start a request. The form asks who is making the request and a few basics about the person needing support.
What happens after I submit a request?
We contact you the way you asked to be contacted. If we are not the right fit, or the request falls outside what we are authorized to provide, we will tell you directly.
What information do I need to get started?
A name, a way to reach you, the general area, and a few sentences about the support you are looking for. That is enough to start the conversation.
Do I need a diagnosis or medical records to contact you?
No. Please do not send diagnoses, medical records or other sensitive health information through the website. If that information is ever needed, we will use a secure process for it.
How quickly will I hear back?
We respond to every request. We do not promise a specific timeframe here, but reaching out is the first step and we will follow up.
What if Helping Hands is not the right fit for my situation?
We will say so plainly, and point you elsewhere if we can. We would rather tell you we are not a fit than waste your time.

Privacy and your information

Nothing medical.
What should I not send through the website?
